These products smell slightly different--one reviewer thought the Equate had more of a chemical smell, while the Cetaphil smelled like 'baby shampoo.' The consistency of the Equate is a little thicker. Despite these differences, we thought the Equate functioned similarly and had a similar enough ingredient score that we would switch to save.
Both products deliver same result. I haven’t noticed a large difference with either one except the price. I battle with cystic acne so to risk trying the Walmart brand versus the top brand, was scary. But, thankfully there was no difference.
I’m very happy with this product! It’s much cheaper than the Cetaphil option, and delivers the same results for me.
I think the Equate is better than the Cetaphil bottle. I used it because I wanted to save money and it became the staple to my skin care products.
