According to Cruelty-Free Kitty, neither of these brands is cruelty-free. Makeup Maven, Kristin, says: These powders are incredibly similar products - both baked powders that feel basically the same to the touch and in how they wear on the face. I tested them over foundation and without foundation as a shine control, and they performed almost exactly the same in both situations. Both products apply nicely and helped me stay matte throughout the day without touching up. They both applied well with a large fluffy brush and a slightly damp beauty sponge as well. The only difference I noticed was that the Sephora powder looked slightly heavier on my skin than the MAC powder several hours into wear, but this wasn't enough of an issue that I would hesitate to use the Sephora powder again. Unless very long wear is a specific need of yous, I don't think you need to spend more here - the Sephora powder is a really nice product!
